Police say man had 0.491 blood alcohol level!! He shouldn't be alive.

. - Rhode Island State police say they arrested a man early Tuesday whose blood alcohol level was 0.491 percent - the highest ever recorded in Rhode Island for someone who wasn't dead.

Stanley Kobierowski was taken to a hospital, put in the detoxification unit and sedated, said Maj. Steven O'Donnell. He was arraigned Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, and he was released after promising to appear Friday at a court hearing.

"The person's lucky they survived," O'Donnell said. "There's no doubt he would have gotten killed or killed someone if he had continued on the route he was taking."

A phone listing for Kobierowski could not be found, and he did not have a lawyer in court Tuesday.

Kobierowski, 34, of North Providence, was arrested after he drove into a highway message board on Interstate 95 in Providence, O'Donnell said.

After police arrived, Kobierowski had trouble getting out of the car, then grabbed it and refused to move, forcing troopers to carry him to the breakdown lane before taking him back to their barracks, O'Donnell said.

A breath test showed blood alcohol readings of 0.489 percent, followed by 0.491, O'Donnell said, the highest readings state officials could remember for someone who didn't end up dead.

The legal limit in Rhode Island is 0.08. A level of 0.30 is classified as stupor, 0.4 is comatose and 0.5 is considered fatal, according to the health department.

 I LOVED IT!!! 

I didn't feel it was spiteful or cruel. I think it was an honest account of what it is like to work side-by-side and have an intimate relationship with Madonna.

Look- You DON'T end up being THAT famous by being "a nice person". 

The most damaging thing about this book is that he reveals MADONNA IS HUMAN!!! That's something she never wanted you to know.

If you believe she is a GODDESS with the ability to "walk on water" and "knows more than the rest of us"...then skip this book. Not everything she has done is brilliant, & not everything she does is her creative brilliance.  She's fragile, insecure, jealous and just like the rest of us. HUMAN.

Its sort of like when a Magician tells you the SECRET to the Trick. It shatters the illusion, but you can still ENJOY the trick, right?

I still like Madonna.

-although I refuse to pay $330 for a ticket to her new tour....oh, come on!! The economy is in the toilet, and she's got the nerve to charge that? That's a bit "out of touch". I can watch the show on Youtube.

One number will feature four girls who are dressed up in various iconic versions of Madonna images past. Madonna laughs at her old "looks" and has been discussing the particulars. "At first I thought mannequins, then no, real girls would be better.

Madonna says: Truthfully, I wanted drag queens - who does me better? But I figured that might be too much drama, you know - those girls love their scenes. And I provide enough of that!"

As Madonna recruits the dancers who'll stand and strike a pose, each holding or wearing a prop, the star will snatch away, the choreographer beams, "Oh, this is getting so wickedly weird. Now I'm really loving it!"

This Woman Gave Birth while Bar-hopping. She didn't know she was Pregnant:

30-year-old woman who was unaware she was pregnant gave birth at a friend's costume party, BBC News reported on Tuesday.

Ally Ashwell of Newcastle, England, was bar-hopping - in a bumblebee costume - when she began to feel sick.

She returned to her hotel room to find she was in labor, and the contractions came so fast she was forced to deliver in the hotel.

Ashwell's baby, Owen, was born prematurely at 26 weeks, but doctors at the Lancashire hospital where he is being cared for are optimistic about his future.

"It is very unusual for a baby to be born in this situation," a spokesman for Blackpool Victoria Hospital told BBC News. "I think Owen surprised us all by the progress he has made."
