they are hurting for many reasons, and I ask You to help them through this season of loss and depair. I reach out to You, the Father of compassion and Source of every comfort, asking You to touch them with Your unfailing love and kindness. Be their God who comforts tem as they're going through thire struggles, and bring them throught the tough things ahead. Come alongside them in their pain, and strengthen them so they will one day be able to help others who face the same struggles. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Psalm 33:22, 1 Samual 20:14a)

You are close to people who's hearts are breaking, those who are discouraged and have given up hope. May You who see their troubles and grief respond when they cry out.(Psalm 34:18, 10:14a, 17)

When they are hurting, help them find their joy in You, for it is Your joy that will be their strength. Help them to trust You as their God of Hope. Fill them with Your joy, peace, and hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help them experience the love, joy and peace that are results of His life in them, no matter what they are going through.(Nehemiah 8:10b, Romans 15:13, Galatians 5:22)

May they sense Your presence in their hour of need. In Jesus' name I pray.

I am me. I am the biological mother of three, Michael-12, Amanda-10, and Taylor-4, and the step mother of three, Kendra-13, Alexis- 10, and Matt-8, but all that is irrelevant because they are all mine and they have been for a long time and I love them.

I am a member of the Independant Order of Oddfellows, Rebekah Minnehaha Lodge #77 in Richmond, IL. We are the oldest charitable fraternal order in the world. We organize charitable events for local community members in need. I am the Lodge Chaplain, I lead our meetings in prayer, and pray also when necessity requires it. I care for the spiritual needs of our lodge members in distress or mourning. I take this  position as seriously as I take Our Lord.
