    I LOVE My New iMac
I got an iMac for my house, and can't even explain how much I love it...you don't have to get one..but if you do, we should iChat!!
I believe in... Miracles...since you came along...you se... Nevermind. I'll fill this section out later, too...

I'm all about... SNOWBOARDING, MUSIC, SOCCER, ACTING, and making sweet sweet...bread.

I live for... MORE! Seriously, that's the only way to describe it. I couldn't do the same thing every day, after day, after... I love experiencing new things, trying things that scare me, and achieving things that others wouldn't expect.

Music Oh man...I might have to copy from my MySpace...actually, I will: Dave Matthews, Green Day, Eminem, Beastie Boys, Elvis, Mozart, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Beach Boys, Righteous Brothers, Boys II Men, Jay-Z, Frank Sinatra, Gwen Stefani, and NSync top my list...yeah, eclectic...

    Special Mentions:
    Justin Timberlake
    - His solo stuff is off-the-chain...props to JT for dropping music that takes chances (like Gwen)!

Gorrillaz and Black Eyed Peas: These guys have a BAD sound...cool hip hop vibe mixed with New Age, and great hooks!

Fergie!: This girl just broke on with some shameful stuff...don't count the fact that she's been part of the Peas...it takes some ill skill to drop like she did - she's a STAR! and sexy...

Nelly Furtado: I wasn't sure how I felt about "Promiscuous" at first, but started to get into...I'm lovin the Nelly/Timbaland combo!

    R. Kelly: Too bad he's a freak, cuz he's a musical genius!

Daniel Beddingfield: His style is off the walls...great energy and great lyrics...the "Gotta Get Through This" album is amazing!

Sting: Total musical genius...whenever I hear his songs, I love them...great voice, great lyrics...

Usher: Great music - good voice, awesome moves...he's way cocky, though...

Jessica Simpson: This is a Music Video shout-out

The Offspring: These guys are fun, and their music is a blast!

Blue October: Out of San Marcos TX, this band has some of the most amazing songs you'll hear...rocks! Great lyrics, and awesome performances! They are from around Austin, but they are signed to a major record deal, too...
side note: I saw them live in LA this summer and was a little disappointed in how commercialized they'd gotten...there was just something missing...I'm hoping it had something to do with the fact that Justin (lead) broke his leg...

Kelly Clarkson: Sure, I'm in love with her, but a lot of it is because I fell in love with her talent...she has one of the best voices anywhere (also hollas to Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Alisa Apps)

Paul Wall: Third Coast at it's best...Paul's one of my favorite celebrities...he's totally a happy, genuine guy...great hip hop...

And lets knock off with some love for: The Who and Avril Lavigne

    -The Office

Books I LOVE TO READ...here are some of my favorite authors and books...

    Favorite Authors:
    William Shakespeare:
He wrote every great story ever invented! Read everything...it's all timeless, and incredible! Then find out more about Shakespeare...did he really write all his stories - there are a few different conspiracy theories...
Anne Rice: Interview With The Vampire and the rest of the Vampire Chronicles...great books!
Robert Ludlum: He wrote The Bourne Identity and other Jason Bourne books...you should read them, they are WAY better than the movies...he also wrote a lot of other great adventure/spy novels
Dan Brown: Everyone's heard of The DaVinci Code, and there's a reason for it - it's great! So is the prequel, Angels & Demons...his other books aren't as impressive, but still fun...
John Grishom: All of his books are great...lawyer-based adventure...you've heard of The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Chamber, and A Time To Kill...
Michael Crichton: The guy who wrote Jurassic Park, Disclosure, Andromedra Strain, and a lot of other great science fiction (which I'm not usually a fan of)...
J.K. Rowling: You know the woman who is a wiziilionaire from her Harry Potter books! She is a great writer!
Roald Dahl: This man was the original J.K. Rowling...he wrote great stories...Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda...great storyteller, and not afraid to challenge the idea of fear and death with children...similar to Harry Potter...he was amazing!
Mark Twain: Actually named Sam Clemens (do you know where 'Mark Twain' comes from?), he wrote all the Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer books...
J.R.R. Tokein: Aside from The Hobbit - which has way too much 'history' babbling - his Lord of the Rings books are great!
Stuart Woods: He is the author of the Stone Barrington novels - there are a lot! My grandma, Dickie, suggested him to me, after I told her I liked to read Dan Brown's books...

    Hmm...
    Steven King
...can someone explain to me why I like his stories, but hate the alien stuff...he has a great book, and then it always ends by turning into an alien - I guess I'm not much for alien stories...although I do believe in aliens...

    Favorite Books:
This will be hard, and if you check back, I bet I'll have added a bunch...(all books mentioned above are, of course, favorites, too)
Fahrenheit 451: Ray Bradbury...awesome!...do you know what burns at that temperature?
    Dracula: Bram Stoker...great book...interesting...classic!
The Tortilla Curtain: TC Boyle...awesome book about American society
Lord of the Flies: William Golding...probably my favorite message of all time...incredible sociological and psychological aspects
Forrest Gump: Winston Groom...WAY better and more interesting to the story...different ending, too...
Little House on the Prairie: Laura Ingalls Wilder...great historically autobiographical books...plus she's from the state I grew up in, and my little sister has the same birthday as she does ;c)
    Beowolf: I don't know who wrote this...I don't think anyone does...awesome story!
Catch 22: Joseph Heller...hilarious, and a really interesting concept...
To Kill A Mockingbird: Harper Lee...incredible story about society and human nature...
Catcher in the Rye: JD Salinger...I wish my old boss would read this - he reminds me of Holden...
    Oedipus: Sophocles...interesting psychological story...
    The Iliad: Homer...amazing mythology...
Don Quixote: Miguel Cervantes...awesome story...great musical, too...
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Robert Lewis Stevenson...great story about how people have depth to their character...
Faust: Christopher Marlowe...incredible story about life...
Paradise Lost: John Milton...you will see where happiness is...
The Scarlet Letter: Nathaniel Hawthorne...see how people treat others based on first impressions and fear...
The Crucible: Arthur Miller...incredible story of the horror of real human behavoir...
The Black Stallion: Walter Farley...a series of great books for kids...
White Fang: Jack London...awesome set of books about discovering yourself...
Uncle Tom's Cabin: Harriet Beecher Stowe...I've never read it, and am about to...

Likes Sitting next to cute girls on the plane, Gino's East, Good-hair-days (yes, even us guys enjoy good hair days), sleeping in a cold room with plenty of blankets, driving with the sunroof open, windows down, music kickin and maybe a little too fast...my family, and my car...OH! and Craig Fergussen - he's freakin' hilarious and the reason that I talk with a Scottish accent after 12:30a.

Dislikes people hiding their laughter when I mention I grew up in South Dakota (just laugh out loud...I know its comin), Reese's pieces (they sound so good, until you eat to many...), and when channel 3 (ESPN) tells me 'One Moment Please' and won't give me a signal...thank God for channel 402 (ESPNNEWS) - oh! and Damian McWhatever and Carson Daly...they're annoying...

Virtues Confidence - in myself and others...I hate insecure people who try to make up for their personal issues by tryin to cut others down...and I'll call you out on it, if you do it in front of me..."That's what she said" (Michael Scott - The Office)

Heroes My grandpa - no doubt...I may have been too young to realize his faults, but as far as I know, he was just an amazing guy. I still have a lot of his advice at the forefront of my mind...

My dog, Ted Carter, is actually named after him...everyone called my grandpa, Ted.

The Carter part was cuz I was watching ER and Carter seemed to fit my dog's personality better ;c)

My parents are also amazing people...two totally different people, too - but they fit great. They both are good-hearted people. They would rather follow their hearts and their morals, than be ruthless and sneaky to be successful. And, they are successful, too!

My mom, Annie O, has a very strong sense of family, and I learned that from her, and can't think of a better way to teach people to care about one another.

My dad, TC has very strong morals and is a smart guy...he's taught me a lot about doing things the right way, the first time ;c)

McCain Ditches Dave AND His Campaign...

Thursday, September 25, 2008, 06:54 PM CST [General]

What's Going On With John McCain???
John McCain cancelled VERY last-minute on David Letterman - he was supposed to be a guest on Wednesday, but called Dave to say he was 'rushing back to Washington' to focus on our economic crisis...

Dave, who believes (as I do) that J-Mac is a true American hero, was less than pleased with the short-notice cancellation, which left Dave without a guest for Wednesday's show. He was even MORE surprised when CBS notified him that McCain was, at that very minute, at the CBS studios, preparing fo an interview with Katie Couric - he was even able to get a video feed from Katie's newsroom...

Hit the following link to see every mention of McCain on The Late Show Wednesday night...do you think Dave's response is justified??:
